big ben medley
i've loved walking the streets of london over the last week and revisiting some classic photoing locations. the place where i took the picture above is probably my best hidden spot. although it works best in a summer evening when the evening sun is still strong.
forbid my indulgence in posting these reworkings of older photos. think of it as a visual refrain back to three years ago when funkypancake was solely london based.

no need to print out new pieces of A4 each year. just use last year's and stick the changes over the top. job's a good 'un

traditional type face, but not great use of the full piece of A4. unless it's space for comments/feedback?

my favourite cafe
i love this cafe. they do the best (and cheapest?) corned beef sandwich in the world as far as i'm concerned.
i told the chap who owns it i'd been waiting 2 years for one of his rolls and he looked at me rather strangely. later i realised he may have though i was complaining about how long it took him to serve me!

paddington signage page numbering
i went through paddington station last week for the first time in over 2 years and a few things have changed like the colour and graphics on the signs
however, i was delighted to see in the bottom left corner that they still have page numbers on them (and a little blob of chewing gum).
the page numbers are a lot smaller than they used to be, but they are still there. hoorah
a message to the trees
it's all very well putting a sign out for the trees so they don't drop their leaves all over the shop. but they can't read.

i went back to the shopping mall today and lifted up santa's hat so we could see her beautiful face properly. well worth the bother of sneaking in to the shop window to adjust her!
international arrivals
i spent a whlie outside here last night waiting for some family friends to arrive. i love sitting there watching people arriving and the reactions from their families and friends.

santa's colour coordinated helper
this lady was standing under this tree in a downtown gambling emporium waiting for her husband to take a photo. she was standing there for ages as people walked so i thought she'd make a nice photo in her pastel colours in the dark under the tree.
just in case you were wondering, i haven't taken up gambling. i popped in to visit the bank (an actual bank, not 'the bank') but the queue was too long so i went back to work.
