that steered a funny trolley thing which was attached to the plane's wheels. imagine how much fun that would be !

i've been after a picture of this sign for yonks and finally managed to get a picture the other week. i had to drive to the airport (rather than get a taxi) and got there an hour early just so i could walk back up the main road and grab the picture. well worth it i'd say !

big stunts, little plane
this plane was doing some amazing stunts over browns bay at the weekend
it kept buzzing in to the crowd and eventually landed on the beach after it's excellent display
only then did i realise it was actually a large remote control plane. still pretty mad all the same.

camera migration
i bought a new camera today. a canon s95. same as the G12 inside, but more pocket ready which helps me look less nerdy when wearing it at work.
and so my trusty old 850IS goes in to partial retirement after 4 years sterling work.
i think the 850IS will become my 'danger' camera for places where there is a risk of water and sand which are both quite common here in new zealand (due to all the beaches and the occasional completely mad rain shower). it's in danger of stopping working at any moment, so i'll treat them both gently. don't worry about that.

it's taken me over a year to finally get a picture of a bus showing the word 'sorry'. it's such a good word to have on a bus and it's a common sight. so it was nice to see this one sorry and parked so i could grab you a photo.
