it's the custom to take your shoes off when you go to someone's house in new zealand which makes for comedy shoe piles outside houses, especially if there's about a million people attending. here is just some of the shoe pile outside a house we went to this evening.
so, it was a year ago today that we arrived in new zealand.
i was worried i might not find anything to take photos of, but how wrong i was. the whole place is as beautiful and as mad and as lovely and as strange as you could wish for.
with the election nearly completed (it's a postal thing) candidates are looking for last ditch attempts to make their billboards stand out compared to the dozens of similar ones all over the place.
this cd was in our hire car and it was fab. not sure what all the tracks were, but a few we knew and loved and a few we didn't and loved. was a shame to give it back with the car !
